31st January 2023

Time for Scotland - the group that organised rallies on Supreme Court Verdict Day - is holding a 'Lights On' event outside the Scottish Parliament on 31 Jan 2023, urging support for Scotland's right to self determination.

Our aim is to remind everyone Brexit was the democratic choice of English voters, not Scots.

A majority of citizens in every council area of Scotland voting Remain, and - as the disastrous consequences of Brexit become more and more apparent - Scots were right to ignore the lies, and hollow talk of taking back control by scapegoating Europeans.

So we hope to replicate the turnout and media impact of the Supreme Court verdict day rallies with a call to keep the lights on for Scotland in Europe – at Holyrood, around Scotland and in European capitals.

March and Rally Edinburgh

Meet at 5pm - Pollock Halls

The fully stewarded torch-lit procession will assemble at Pollock Halls of Residence from 5pm and set off at 5.30pm down the Galloping Glen of Holyrood Park towards the rally at the Parliament, which starts at 6pm.

There will be music and performances by European citizens who have made Scotland their home along with guest speakers – and lots of lights.

Perform on the night

We are looking for European musicians, singers and dancers who have made Scotland their home to perform on the night.

If you would like to volunteer to perform, please get in touch.
